Historical Notes Jack D’Ambrosi was born in New York City. He lived in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, with his wife, Karen, and their two daughters. Jack spent his free time fishing. On a successful day, he would share the bounty with his neighbors. A vice president at Cantor Fitzgerald’s eSpeed division, Jack was at work on the North Tower’s 103rd floor on September 11. He was 45 years old.
Curator's Comment Jack D’Ambrosi, Jr. had many passions: he loved fishing, coaching his daughters’ softball team, and the Grateful Dead. His favorite song by the band was “Franklin’s Tower” from this 1975 album, titled Blues for Allah. Jack’s wife, Karen, recalled that he had suggested the band’s “They Love Each Other” as their wedding song. While she shared his love for the band, they opted for a different musical selection. Years later, one of Jack’s daughters played the song at her own wedding reception in tribute to her father. HIDE
