Historical Notes
John Sherry and his wife, Maureen, were raising their two young sons in John’s native Rockville Centre on Long Island. They often hosted relatives and were known for their annual New Year’s Eve parties. A soccer player as a teen, John spoke of one day teaching his sons the sport. On September 11, John was on the South Tower’s 84th floor at Euro Brokers, where he was a bond broker. He was 34 years old.
