Historical Notes
Bronx-born Christian Regenhard spent five years as a U.S. Marine and attended college in San Francisco, California, before returning to the Bronx. He was a sportsman who liked rock climbing and scuba diving and a travel enthusiast who had visited 22 countries. Christian had been a firefighter for six weeks on September 11, when he responded with FDNY Ladder Company 131 to the towers. He was 28 years old.
