Description Small faux pearl bracelet intended for a premature infant. The pearls were recycled from the wedding dress belonging to Nicole Reda, widow of Gregory Reda.
Historical Notes Brooklyn native Gregory Reda lived in New Hyde Park, Long Island, with his wife, Nicole, and their two young sons. Their two-year-old had been born on Valentine’s Day in 1999, and their second son was born just two months before September 2001. A systems analyst at Marsh & McLennan, Gregory was at work on the North Tower’s 95th floor on September 11. He was 33 years old.
Curator's Comment In honor of their 21st wedding anniversary in 2016, Gregory’s wife, Nicole, donated her wedding dress to an "angel gowns" charity. A volunteer seamstress used the dress to create special burial clothing for infants. HIDE
