New York City native Robert Baierwalter lived in Albertson, Long Island, with his wife, Laura, and their three children. Robert usually spent mornings with his children until they left for school, then commuted to Norwalk, Connecticut, where he was an account underwriter for FM Global. On September 11, Robert went to the South Tower to attend a meeting at the Aon Corporation offices. He was 44 years old.
