She had worked for American Airlines for 45 years, 30 of which were spent as secretary to the airline’s manager at Dulles International Airport. Mary mentored coworkers and played Mrs. Santa Claus at holiday parties. On September 11, she boarded Flight 77 en route to a meeting of the employees’ credit union. Mary was 64 years old.
