Description Miniature ceramic fire helmet created in memory of Francis Esposito. The small helmet is black with the number "235" on the front piece. On the underside of the brim is written "Francis Esposito" in gold-colored marker.
Historical Notes Staten Island native Francis Esposito lived in Tottenville with his wife, Dawn. In 1999, he achieved three of his longtime dreams. In the same month, he got married, bought a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and became an FDNY firefighter. On September 11, Firefighter Esposito responded to the World Trade Center with his unit, Engine Company 235. He was 32 years old.
