Navy blue long-sleeved button-up uniform shirt belonging to Kathy N. Mazza. The shirt includes four patches. On the left breast above the pocket is a blue patch with white embroidered text: "PAPD | POLICE | INSTRUCTOR." On the right breast above the pocket is a smaller blue patch with white embroidered text: "K.N. MAZZA | POLICE CAPTAIN."
On the right and left upper sleeves are Port Authority Police patches. Two small service bar patches are on the collar.

Massapequa, Long Island, native Kathy Mazza lived in Farmingdale with her husband, Christopher. A former nurse, Kathy joined the PAPD in 1987 and became the first female commanding officer of its police academy. She taught emergency medical skills and championed a successful initiative to equip airports with heart defibrillators. On September 11, Captain Mazza responded to the towers. She was 46 years old.
