Historical Notes A native of Cali, Colombia, Wilder Gomez moved to the United States in 1991. He lived in Brooklyn with his mother and youngest daughter and also had three children living in Colombia. Wilder played soccer and loved to dance. He worked as a waiter and bartender at Windows on the World near the top of the North Tower. On September 11, he was at the restaurant, filling in for a coworker. Wilder was 37 years old.
