Historical Notes Native New Yorker Lourdes Galletti lived in the Bronx with her mother. Those who knew her said Lourdes’s determination and character helped her overcome a tough childhood, earn a high school equivalency degree, and obtain a job as the executive secretary to Cantor Fitzgerald’s vice chairman. On September 11, Lourdes was at work on the 105th floor of the North Tower. She was 33 years old.
