Historical Notes
Brooklyn native Michael McDonnell lived with his wife, Cheryl, and their two young sons in Middletown, New Jersey. After years on a waiting list, Michael had gotten New York Jets season tickets and looked forward to his sons growing old enough to go to games with him. An accounting manager at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Michael was at work on the South Tower’s 89th floor on September 11. He was 33 years old.
