Historical Notes
Georgetown, Guyana, native Astrid Sohan came to the United States in 1971. She lived in Freehold, New Jersey. Astrid collected ceramic clowns and was known to indulge in chocolate and shoes. A tennis fan, she and her girlfriend, Diane, enjoyed attending the US Open. On September 11, Astrid, an assistant vice president at Marsh & McLennan, was at work on the North Tower’s 95th floor. She was 32 years old.
