Historical Notes Native New Yorker Jose Marrero lived in Old Bridge, New Jersey. He and his wife, Jodi, had three children, and Jose also had a daughter from a previous relationship. Resuming a childhood hobby, Jose raised pigeons and planned to race them. A facilities manager at Euro Brokers, he was the fire warden for the South Tower’s 84th floor. On September 11, Jose was seen helping people evacuate. He was 32 years old.
