Brooklyn-born William Dimmling lost his father at the age of 18. William’s wife, Leslie, said that made him especially grateful for the two sons they were raising in Garden City, Long Island. An expert in developing financial accounting systems, William worked as a senior vice president at Marsh & McLennan. On September 11, he was at his office on the North Tower’s 98th floor. William was 47 years old.
