Lifelong New Yorker Douglas Gardner lived with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. A basketball player, Douglas served on the boards of charities that provided youth athletic and leadership programs. He was the executive managing director of Cantor Fitzgerald and vice chairman of its eSpeed subsidiary. On September 11, Douglas was at work on the North Tower’s 105th floor. He was 39 years old.
