Description
Handwritten note by a child left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of Lukasz Tomasz Milewski. The note is written on a piece of paper cut like a heart and attached to a wooden craft stick. The note reads: "Dear Uncle, I miss you so much. I wish I had a chance to meet you. I bet your [sic] amazing. XOXO Lily."

Historical Notes
Lukasz Milewski was born in Suwałki, Poland. He was a fan of techno music and enjoyed going to dance parties with friends. A college student in marketing and management in Poland, Lukasz moved to Queens in July 2001 and found a summer job at Forte Food serving food in Cantor Fitzgerald’s cafeteria. On September 11, Lukasz was at work on the North Tower’s 101st floor. He was 21 years old.
