Historical Notes Born in Queens, James Audiffred lived in Brooklyn with his wife, Robin, and their son. A student of lighthouse history and architecture, James took his family on vacation in July 2001 to see lighthouses in Maine. James worked for ABM Industries as a World Trade Center elevator operator, escorting visitors to Windows on the World. On September 11, James was at work in the North Tower. He was 38 years old.
Curator's Comment This cigar was left on the N-64 parapet of the North Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for James Audiffred on September 11, 2015. HIDE
