Historical Notes
Brooklyn-born Richard Pearlman lived in Howard Beach, Queens. He had volunteered at a community ambulance corps since he was 14 years old and was to start emergency medical technician training in October 2001. An office clerk for Cooper & Cully law firm, Richard was on an errand in lower Manhattan on September 11. He joined the rescue effort and was seen entering the South Tower. He was 18 years old.
