Historical NotesCreated from layering pictures in Photoshop, this digital work by artist Roz Dimon tells the story of Pale Male, the famous red-tailed hawk that took up residence on a Fifth Avenue apartment building and captured New Yorkers' hearts. Other images include the Twin Towers, the lower Manhattan skyline, and a crucifix, overlapping to create a contemporary stained-glass window. For Dimon, the hawk’s journey is “a story about finding home when we’ve lost our own.” The online experience can be accessed
