Mangled collection of steel bars, wires, conduit piping, and other materials recovered from the World Trade Center site.
Historical Notes
Rebar, the steel bars used to reinforce concrete, added to the hazards of Ground Zero and presented unique challenges to recovery workers searching for human remains.
