Historical Notes
Denis Lavelle lived all his life in Yonkers, New York. The fifth of six siblings, he shared a condo with his mother. The two attended Mass together on Sundays. Interested in politics, Denis had once run for city council and was a fan of radio personality Rush Limbaugh. On September 11, Denis was on the 94th floor of the North Tower at Marsh & McLennan, where he worked as an accountant. He was 42 years old.
