Historical Notes
One of 10 siblings, Michael Lynch was born in the Bronx and continued to live there as an adult. He and his fiancée, Stephanie, were to marry in November 2001. A firefighter with FDNY Ladder Company 32, Michael was working with Engine Company 40 on September 11. Firefighter Lynch was seen in a stairwell in 4 World Trade Center, heading toward the South Tower. He was 30 years old.
