Born in Puerto Rico, Rosa Gonzalez lived in Jersey City, New Jersey, with her 12-year-old daughter, Jennifer. She was employed as a secretary at the Port Authority on the 66th floor of the North Tower. On September 11, Rosa was at work there. As she fled the tower, she called her sister to ask her to take care of Jennifer. Rosa was 32 years old.
