DescriptionQuilt panel composed of four individual handmade quilts from the project An American Quilt.
The first quilt on the left was created in memory of
Paul Frederick Beatini and is covered in photo transfers and written remembrances.
The second quilt, created in memory of
Peter Anton Klein, has a portrait photo transfer in the center and diagonal fabric stripes, some of which have his interests and skills written on them.
The third quilt was created in memory of
Clarin Shellie Siegel-Schwartz. The quilt is patchwork style, with each patch a different fabric. A portrait photo transfer is in the center.
The last quilt, was created in memory of
Steven Harris Russin, contains photo transfers and fabric themes that represent interests such as handyman work or sports. In the center is a big red heart cut in half. Three smaller hearts below it carry the names of Russin's children: Alec, Ariella, and Olivia. "Steve Russin" is at the top.
