Historical Notes
Born in Ukraine in the Soviet Union, Lyudmila Ksido was a widow with a one-year-old son when she moved to the United States in 1979. She made a new life, working, learning English, and marrying her husband, Felix. They settled in Brooklyn and had two more sons. A consultant for Accenture at Marsh & McLennan, Lyudmila was at work on the 94th floor of the North Tower on September 11. She was 46 years old.
