Description
Bound paper manual, with a graphic of the Twin Towers and World Trade Center complex in gray with printed text in red: "The World Trade Center | Tenant Fire Safety Guide." The manual outlines fire safety procedures for the World Trade Center complex.
Historical Notes
The Port Authority instituted a fire warden program after the 1993 bombing and provided fire safety training for World Trade Center tenants. Fire wardens were responsible for checking their floors, managing drills, and communicating with authorities in an emergency. This training saved many lives on 9/11.
Manuals like this one were revised following the 1993 bombing.
