Historical Notes
Queens native Richard Caproni grew up in North Babylon, Long Island, and lived in Lynbrook. In high school, he captained the football team, and he remained a football fan throughout his life. Richard liked to stay fit and often jogged to the gym before work as a senior accounting specialist at Marsh & McLennan. On September 11, Richard was at his office on the North Tower’s 98th floor. He was 34 years old.
